HITTING REPORT: Ohtani had a pair of singles and a triple that nearly cleared the outfield fence. He has reached base in each of his past seven plate appearances (three singles, two walks, a triple and a home run). … Mookie Betts was also 3 for 3 and scored twice. He is 7 for 17 (.412) this spring. … Max Muncy led off the fourth inning with his second home run of the spring. He is 5 for 10 in Cactus League play.
PITCHING REPORT: Gavin Stone allowed two hits in three scoreless innings. Stone has given up one run on three hits and a walk in 5 ⅔ innings over his three spring appearances. … Michael Grove gave up two runs in 2 1/3 innings. … Stone and Grove combined to retire 11 consecutive Rockies batters at one point.
FAMILY TIME: Former Dodgers first baseman Eric Karros is in camp as a guest instructor and took out the lineup card for the Dodgers before Sunday’s game. Meeting him at home plate with the Rockies’ lineup was Kyle Karros, one of two sons who played at UCLA and are now in professional baseball. Kyle was a fifth-round pick of the Rockies last season. He got into Sunday’s game and went 1 for 2. Jarrod Karros was drafted out of UCLA by the Dodgers in 2022.
