Noteworthy: Aslikyan became the first Birmingham boys wrestler to win an individual state title Saturday at the CIF State Championships in Bakersfield. The 106-pounder finished the season with a 43-1 record and was the No. 4 wrestler in his weight class in the Cal Grappler rankings. Birmingham finished 22nd in the state standings.
