Police were searching for three suspects who fled early Tuesday morning, Feb. 20, after robbing a family’s Westminster home and holding a resident at gunpoint, authorities said.
Around 1:40 a.m., officers responded to a home on the 13400 block of Milan Street after a woman called 911 and said she was being robbed.
Three male suspects, two armed with handguns, forced themselves into the home, police said. A man, a woman, a 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old girl were inside.
The suspects entered the man’s bedroom and asked where he had money, police said, holding him at gunpoint and ransacking the room, stealing several valuable items.
Police arrived and saw what they believed was the suspects’ vehicle and attempted to pull it over. The vehicle didn’t stop and the police pursued it but lost the van near Westminster Boulevard and Bolsa Chica Road.
