A 4-year-old boy who was abducted in a vehicle theft in Downtown Long Beach was found safe a few hours later on Tuesday, Feb. 13, authorities said.
Around 5:45 p.m., the boy was with a parent sitting in a 2021 Gray Honda Accord in the area near First Street and Linden Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. At some point, the parent stepped away from the vehicle and returned to find the sedan stolen.
Around 8 p.m., the boy was found safe still inside the vehicle a few blocks over on Pine Avenue, Long Beach police spokeswoman Alyssa Baeza said.
There was no immediate information on any suspects in the vehicle theft and abduction.
