LOS ANGELES — The UCLA men’s basketball team has its first chance since early January to get back to a .500 record with Saturday’s home game against Oregon.
The Bruins have won two in a row and four of their last five Pac-12 games. UCLA is currently tied for sixth place in the Pac-12. Oregon is tied with Arizona for first.
UCLA has split its past 10 games with Oregon, including a tough 64-59 loss in Eugene on Dec. 30, which was the opening weekend of conference play.

UCLA’s latest result: The Bruins are coming off a 71-63 win at home against Oregon State on Thursday. UCLA was led by sophomore point guard Dylan Andrews with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists, with Andrews’ 13 second-half points carrying the Bruins to victory. Sophomore forward Adem Bona had 18 points and four rebounds but was limited to 27 minutes due to foul trouble. Junior guard Lazar Stefanovic added 15 points, including three 3-pointers.
Oregon’s latest result: The Ducks are coming off a 78-69 win at USC on Thursday. Oregon was led by freshman guard Jackson Shelstad with 20 points and six assists, as all five of the team’s starters scored more than 10 points.
Matchup to watch: Andrews against Shelstad. At this time of the season, production from the point guard position is paramount. During the first matchup between the teams, Shelstad scored a game-high 20 points, compared to Andrews’ seven points.
Since then, Andrews’ production and confidence have grown throughout Pac-12 play.
“Starting off the season was a big change for me because I went from playing 10 minutes to pretty much playing the whole game,” Andrews said. “I feel every game as the season goes on, you start adjusting, you start getting used to it and I’m starting to feel more comfortable playing all those minutes.”
