On the heels of the announcement earlier this week that Joni Mitchell would play her first headlining show in Los Angeles in more than two decades on Saturday, Oct. 19, the music icon has added another date at the Hollywood Bowl.
Mitchell will now also perform on Sunday, Oct. 20. There’s a presale going on now, but both shows go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Ticketmaster.com.
Mitchell is also set to perform at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This will mark Mitchell’s first live Grammy performance, coinciding with her nomination for the Best Folk Album category for “Joni Mitchell at Newport.” Notably, Mitchell was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.
The acclaimed “River” and “Big Yellow Taxi” songstress made a return to the stage in 2022, headlining the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington, after battling several illnesses. Her Joni Jam set there featured a lineup of special guests and friends, including Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, Marcus Mumford, Wynonna Judd, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Wendy and Lisa of Prince’s Revolution, Lucius and more. She was a surprise performer at the Newport Folk Festival that year, too, and showed up to play with Carlile during her headlining set at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2023.
