Train and REO Speedwagon have announced they will be joining forces for a co-headlining tour. Dubbed Summer Road Trip, the jaunt will hit the Kia Forum on Sunday, Sept. 8.
The tour will also feature special guest Yacht Rock Revue. To kick off the 44-city tour, both iconic rock bands will perform an intimate show at Los Angeles’ Whisky A Go Go on Feb. 1. Tickets for this exclusive event are available for purchase on ticketweb.com.
Expressing enthusiasm for the tour, Pat Monahan, Train’s frontman, stated in a press release, “This tour promises not only a fantastic time with great people but also a musical journey featuring a plethora of familiar songs spanning generations. I’ll be longing to be in the audience as much as I’ll relish being on the stage.”
Tickets for the general public will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at livenation.com.Artist presales will go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at REOSpeedwagon.com. Citicard members will have access to presale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at citientertainment.com.
Since Train’s self-titled debut in 1998, the group has achieved success with eight Top 40 hits, including chart-toppers like “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” and “Hey, Soul Sister.” Their most recent album, “AM Gold,” was released in 2022.
On the other hand, REO Speedwagon has left a mark with classic hits such as “Keep On Loving You,” “Take it on the Run,” and “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”
