In most of Orange County, the forecast Monday was warm and windy, but in a corner of Anaheim a holiday miracle dumped 15 tons of snow for local children to sled.
Chef Bruno Serato and his Anaheim White House restaurant served a special early Thanksgiving meal on Monday to about 350 children, who also enjoyed visits from Santa Claus and the winter wonderland.
Serato’s Caterina’s Club charity is know for cooking up vats of pasta to make sure children are getting a warm meal; it now serves meals to some 5,000 children around the region each day. And, of course, Monday’s Thanksgiving fixings included a pasta side.
The 13th annual PastaThon hosted by KFI radio is also now underway collecting donations for Caterina’s Club, check caterinasclub.org for how to help.
