With Pasadena gearing up for the 2024 Rose Parade season, the seven Royal Court princesses in the running to reign as Rose Queen spent the weekend bonding at the Langham Hotel.
The weekend of events kicked off Saturday, Oct. 21 with a Paddington Bear inspired tea party featuring the Langham Hotel’s historic afternoon tea selection and lunch delicacies.
Over the weekend, the court visited local businesses, explored Pasadena, and even discovered hidden gems on a scavenger hunt to iconic city landmarks.
Every year hundreds vie for a spot on the Rose Court, with the Tournament of Roses making the selections following several rounds of interviews based on a combination of qualities, including public speaking ability, academic achievement, and leadership modeled through their commitment to family, school and community.
Members of the Royal Court will ride Jan. 1, 2024, through the 135th Rose Parade on the Royal Court float and attend the College Football Playoffs semifinal at the 110th Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day.
The Tournament of Roses will announce the 105th Rose Queen and hold a coronation on Friday, Oct. 27 at the Tournament House front lawn.
