Oct. 21
Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Juan Diego pilgrimage: The images go to various parishes in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Check the pilgrimage schedule here: tinyurl.com/bdcpjvn5). The images come to Our Lady of Lourdes (18400 Kinzie St., Northridge) on Nov. 5-6, and St Mel (20870 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills) on Nov. 7-8.
The pilgrimage culminates on Dec. 3 with the 92nd annual procession from Our Lady of Solitude (4561 E. Cesar Chavez Ave.; at 10:30 a.m.) to East Los Angeles Community College Stadium (1301 Cesar Chavez Ave. Monterey Park), for a 1 p.m. Mass celebrated by Archbishop José H. Hermandad del Señor de Los Milagros: A Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m. for the miracles attributed to an icon of the Passion of Jesus Christ that was painted in 17th century colonial Peru by an enslaved man who was taken from what is now believed to be the country of Angola in Africa.
