A person believed to be a teenage boy was stabbed outside a Valley Glen high school Wednesday and taken to a hospital in unknown condition, while a search continued for up to five suspects who fled the scene.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded around 3:30 p.m. to Ulysses S. Grant High School in the 13000 block of Oxnard Street regarding an apparent stabbing, and one person was taken to a hospital.
KTLA5 reported from the scene the victim was a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the teachers’ parking lot outside the school.
Police said five suspects — described as males between 15 and 18 years old — fled the scene in a white Honda hatchback.
No further information was immediately available. It was unclear if the victim and/or suspects were students at the school.
