PANORAMA CITY — A woman walking her dogs was killed Monday in a hit-and-run traffic collision in Panorama City, police said.
Officers responded to the intersection of Burnet Avenue and Rayen Street around 6 a.m. to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle that failed to stop, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died, police said.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner withheld the woman’s name pending notification of relatives.
However, family members identified her as Adriana Sanchez, 50, a mother and a grandmother.

The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to those with information leading to the driver’s identification, arrest and conviction.
