The Pasadena Tournament of Roses on Monday, Oct. 2, announced the seven finalists making up the Rose Parade Royal Court, one of whom will be named Rose Queen later this month.
The Rose Princesses making up the Rose Court are:
- Olivia Bohanec, La Salle College Preparatory;
- Trinity Dela Cruz, Marshall Fundamental School;
- Phoebe Ho, South Pasadena High School;
- Mia Moore-Walker, Flintridge Preparatory School;
- Jessica Powell, Flintridge Preparatory School;
- Naomi Stillitano, Arcadia High School;
- Emmerson Tucker, Blair High School.

Every year hundreds vie for a spot on the Rose Court, with the Tournament of Roses making the selections following several rounds of interviews based on a combination of qualities, including public speaking ability, academic achievement, and leadership modeled through their commitment to family, school and community.

“My mind just went completely blank thinking they must have read the wrong number, they must have read the wrong thing because this cannot be real,” Bohanec said. “I’m just so excited to be alongside such amazing young women. It’s such an amazing community that I get to be a part of and to say that I’m a part of this unique experience.”
Members of the Royal Court will ride Jan. 1, 2024, through the 135th Rose Parade on the Royal Court float and attend the College Football Playoffs semifinal at the 110th Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day.
The 2024 Royal Court will also receive a $7,500 educational scholarship and participate in nearly 100 community and media functions, serving as ambassadors of the Tournament…
