Pepperdine University – Waves of Flags: The annual display of flags, both American and foreign, honors and remembers the 2,977 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Rose Hills Memorial Park Sept. 11 Field of Healing – Whittier: An American flag display that honors the 2,977 victims of the Sept. 11 attacks is open for viewing, sunrise to sunset through Sept. 20. Remembering 9/11 – Patriots Day Car Show: Event includes a singing of the National Anthem by special guest soloist Terrell Edwards and a remembrance ceremony, 8:15 a.m. Breakfast, 8-10 a.m. (donation requested). El Segundo Firefighters Pancake Breakfast: Fire Station One hosts the event that includes a remembrance honoring the victims and first responders of 9/11, 8-11 a.m. Donation for the breakfast.
