Former President Donald Trump will head to Costa Mesa in late September, a day after the California Republican Party’s fall convention in Anaheim.
He is scheduled to speak at an evening event on Saturday, Sept. 30 with tickets ranging from $1,000 to $23,200, according to an event invite. The five-figure ticket, which is per couple, comes with a photo-op with Trump at a VIP reception.
Before he makes his way to Costa Mesa, Trump will address CAGOP fall convention attendees during a lunch on Sept. 29 at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. Several other Republican presidential candidates — including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy — are also scheduled to speak at the convention.
Half of likely California Republican voters said they would vote for Trump for president, according to a June statewide survey.

Many Orange County Republicans who attended local debate watch parties said it was the right decision to forgo the debate — albeit, Trump has dropped slightly in polling post-debate, according to a recent Emerson College survey of 1,000 Republican primary voters.
Also on Monday, a judge set a March 4 trial date in the federal case charging the former president with attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. California’s presidential primary contest, with a large number of delegates up for grabs, is set for Super Tuesday, March 5.
