Fire Station #71 comes to aid of Fairhaven Memorial Park

Firefighters from Orange County Fire Authority, Santa Ana division, came to a different kind of rescue recently.

After learning that the American flag at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana had broken loose from the flagpole during high winds, the crew from Station #71 came to help. Using their truck and ladder, they were able to reach the top of the flagpole, replace the broken clip and reattach the flag.

Additional schools participating and receiving recognition include Maple, Beechwood, Laguna Road, Hermosa Drive, Richman, Pacific Drive, Orangethorpe and Nicolas Junior high schools.
