Fans of NBC’s hit talent show “America’s Got Talent” can be part of the audience during a live broadcast as the competition returns to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium through next month for season 18.
After nine weeks of auditions celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara have narrowed the field from hundreds of hopefuls down to the top 55 acts for the live round of the competition in Pasadena.
Fans are invited to join host Terry Crews starting Tuesday, Aug. 22 though Wednesday, Sept. 27 as the varied contestants — singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, magicians and ventriloquists all vying for stardom and a $1 million prize — compete head-to-head for a spot in the final.
“Since 2016, America’s Got Talent has invited fans and visitors to experience the electrifying energy the show brings to the historic Pasadena Civic Auditorium,” said Michael Ross, CEO of the Pasadena Center Operating Company. “We are thrilled to watch the most talented acts in America take the stage for the next five weeks as we deliver a warm Pasadena welcome to the AGT team, fans, and visitors attending the live shows.”
The city is no stranger to hosting the variety competition, with the Pasadena Civic Auditorium serving as venue for live shows in season 17. It also hosted the audition rounds from seasons 11 through 15, and was the venue during The Champions and All Stars seasons.
