Orange County’s median selling price rose hit a record high in June despite prices dropping in 40% of local ZIP codes.
According to CoreLogic data, prices fell in 35 of 85 ZIPs codes in the 12 months ended in June. Still, the countywide median price rose 3.3% to an all-time high of $1.059 million.
The high prices, plus high mortgage rates, scared off house hunters. The number of closed transactions fell in 59 of the 85 ZIP codes in the past year, with a total 2,296 sales – down 17% vs. June 2022.
