Orange Unified welcomes students back to class

Some of Orange County’s largest school districts called their students back for learning this week, including Orange Unified.

More than a dozen districts are celebrating the first day of school this week, with parents taking extra time in the morning to make sure the start of the academic year was special with hugs and pictures as their students headed off to their new classrooms. Orange Unified welcomed students on Wednesday to its campuses in Orange, Anaheim and Villa Park.

Schools also got into the spirit with balloons and signs and teachers out front welcoming their new learners.
