Breed: Some shepherd, some chow – maybe
Age: 2 years
Sex: Neutered male
Size: About 70 pounds
Larry’s story: After he was seen wandering a neighborhood for three weeks, Larry was brought into a shelter in Los Angeles County. He was adopted about two months later and returned the next day; the adopters said he was too rambunctious for their young children. Larry is a pretty big boy and probably was too much for very young children; that’s why the rescue thinks he needs a home with responsible adults only. Larry is friendly, happy, easygoing and pretty goofy. He’s darn near a perfect dog. Darn near because he has one fault, which is possibly what led to his wandering – he’s an escape artist. He needs to be an indoor dog who is monitored when he is outside, unless your home includes 12-foot walls. He’d make a great walking companion. He knows a few cues, but would definitely benefit from a reward-based obedience class.
Adoption fee: $200
Adoption procedure: Call or text Maryanne with Shamrock Rescue Foundation at 714-270-4187 (text preferred) or email [email protected]. If you’re interested in adopting Larry check out his bio and fill out the online application.
