Headed to the OC Fair this week? Here are some things to know.
General information:
- Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
- General admission is $13 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and $15 on Fridays and weekends; tickets are $9 every day for children 6-12 and seniors 60 and older.
- Tickets must be purchased ahead online at ocfair.com. Daily attendance is capped at 45,000 people and may sell out on popular days.
- Parking is $12
- Use Gate 1 on Fair Drive, which is the main gate, for Uber/Lyft/taxi drop-off and pickup
Things to do:
- Teens from around the region have been raising livestock in 4-H and FFA programs, watch at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, as all their hard work pays off with the annual Junior Livestock Auction.
- Cheer on the All-Alaskan Racing Pigs; races start every hour and a half beginning at 2 p.m. on weekdays and 12:30 p.m. on weekends in the Plaza Pacifica. The last race is 8 p.m. everyday.
- DJ Manny & La Nueva Diligencia will be keeping the party going from 8 to 10:45 p.m. at La Cantina.
- Check out a cow milking demonstration in the Millennium Barn at 2:15 p.m. each day – and say hi to the other barn residents.
- Suemy G will be performing nightly at 8:15 p.m. through Sunday on the OC Promenade Stage.
- The OC Promenade features daily cooking demonstrations, learn everything from how to mix a drink to making cheesecake. Jeanne Fratello, The Jolly Tomato, will be showing how to make pastas without a machine at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
