City of San Fernando Progressive Pride Flag Raising Ceremony: San Fernando Mayor Celeste Rodriguez joins with San Fernando City councilmembers, LGBTQ+ representatives and local dignitaries for the event, 9 a.m. June 1. The public is invited to attend and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community and in helping to eliminate prejudice. The city adopted a resolution in 2021 to declare the month of June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month in the city. Drag Yourself to the Valley: Billy Francesca hosts the third annual event with performances by RuPaul’s Drag Race queens Detox and Alyssa Edwards, 8 p.m. June 1.
