A new mural being finished in Tustin’s Frontier Park has hundreds of artists behind its vision.
Dozens of people helped choose the mural’s design and more than 225 helped decorate the individual tiles, choosing their own images to paint within the color scheme.
Over the weekend, even more residents helped install the tiles to create the mural.
Step back and you will see the individually decorated tiles all fit together as an image of parrots in flight over a horizon with Saddleback Mountain in the background.
The project to bring the community together for the public art piece adding some beauty to the park’s restroom building is the vision of artist Mike Tauber and city leaders.
