Brown struck out six with no walks and allowed one earned run over 5.1 innings of pitching, and hit a double, in the Spartans’ 3-2 win over Foothill in a Crestview League opener. He signed with Ohio State
Matt Champion, JSerra, Jr., P
Champion pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts for the Lions in their 2-0 win over Santa Margarita in the Trinity League. He committed to LSU.
Aidan Espinoza, Huntington Beach, Sr., OF
He hit two home runs and drove in three runs in the Oilers’ 11-2 nonleague win over Newport Harbor. Espinoza signed with UCLA.
Joey Gray, Trabuco Hills, Sr., 1B
Gray had three hits with three RBIs in the Mustangs’ 6-1 win over Legend of Colorado in the Anaheim Lions Tournament.
Luke Matlock, Cypress, Sr., P
Matlock shut out Tustin over six innings while allowing five hits as the Centurions took a 3-0 win in an Empire League game.
